Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your Galaxy A02s to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

For an alternate media management solution, check out Verizon Cloud.
If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is required in order to transfer files.

Steps

  1. Connect your Galaxy A02s to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status bar
       then drag to the bottom.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      Transferring files / Android Auto
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate:
    Galaxy A02s
    Internal storage
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera/ Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
  6. When finished, disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
